

The San Diego Trial for the World Professional Jiu Jitsu Cup will be held on
March 5 and 6, 2011 at Point Loma High School. Several Prizes will be given away to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. 13 winners of select divisions will win an all expenses paid trip to Abu Dhabi to compete in the World Professional Jiu Jitsu Cup in April 2011. The No-Gi tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi on April 8 and 9, 2011 and the Gi tournament will be held April 14, 15, and 16. The trials are an option for athletes not wishing to spend money on airfare, food and board.The San Diego Trial will feature several divisions including categories for Adult Men and Women, Masters, Seniors, Kids, and Teens.
Adult Male semi-final and final matches will be televised live for four hours throughout the Middle East on the AD Sports network.

The first World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship event was held in April
of 2009 in Abu Dhabi at the Tennis Court Zayed Sports City. Both events were
held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The Chairman of the Championship and Emirates Jiu Jitsu Team is His Highness
Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Championship events were attended
by the Crown Prince, HH Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Tahnoon, HH
Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamed and HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Mansour in 2010.
